Hyperthyroidism is known to occur uncommonly in pregnancy (about 0.5 per 1000). The incidence of ectopic pregnancy is approximately 9.6 per 1000 pregnancies. Both conditions, if unrecognised and untreated can have potentially fatal consequences. rye describe a case of hyperthyroidism and ectopic pregnancy presenting concurrently, and highlight the difficulties encountered in diagnosis when two clinical conditions present with indistinguishable clinical signs.
