摘要
For long-haul and high-bit-rate optical transmission systems, the trend is to deploy a dispersion compensation scheme. In the design of much a scheme, optimal DCR shall be carefully chosen for different situations, such as different signal power and transmission length. This Letter describes the simulation of the dispersion-managed systems of 4--Gbs bit rate. The DCR values for different signal power and transmission length are different. An explanation is given fir the differences. and the proper design scheme for the high-bit-rate dispersion-managed system for different situations. (C) 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
