Yttria stabilized zirconia (YSZ) ceramics were prepared via liquid precursor infiltration. The influences of three different drying methods on infiltration were studied. The bending strength, hardness and fracture toughness of samples were measured. The results reveal that the natural drying method performs best. Consequently, YSZ with fine mechanical properties and high uniformity is acquired, whose bending strength, Vickers hardness and fracture toughness reach 990.8 MPa, 13.38 GPa and 10.4 MPa.m(1/2), respectively.
