Ion-exclusion chromatography of aliphatic carboxylic acids

The effect of different factors on the retention of aliphatic carboxylic acids is studied. It is established that solutions of benzoic and succinic acids are the most suitable eluants for single-column ion-exclusion determination. The addition of organic modifiers to the mobile phase and an increase in the temperature of the column improve the sensitivity of the determination of acids and decrease the time of analysis, whereas a change in the flow rate of the eluant affects only the time of analysis.
