摘要
Regenerative combustion technology produces multiple effects when being applied in reheating furnaces. This paper emphasizes that high temperature air can increase theoretical combustion temperature and therefore opens up a new route for the application of LHV fuels like BF gas etc. in high temperature reheating furnaces. SHENWU sets the precedent in China for using BF gas as the only fuel in steel rolling reheating furnace. Over ten years, it has been widely applied and has obtained significant economic and environmental benefits. Typical cases are included herewith. The technical feasibility and economic benefits for using low price coal/air generated gasto replace high price fuels such as natural gas etc. are also analyzed in this paper.
