Phase transformation behavior of Ti-rich NiTi alloy by a calorimetric method

摘要
The phase transformation behavior of titanium rich NiTi alloy was analyzed by using a calorimetric method. The homogenization of various Ti-rich NiTi alloys was carried out after which the samples were annealed at 1000°C for an hour. It was also observed that the samples showed exothermic behaviour during cooling. Small variations in the Ms were observed for Ti-rich Niti alloy in contrast to Ni-rich NiTi. Analysis shows decrease in Ms with an increase in the number of thermal cycles.
