摘要
The trend of regional development in China has been very obvious since reform and, opening up, and the local government management plays an important role in regional economic development. The conventional form of governmental governance is a pattern of district administration that based on the rigid constraint of administrative districts. In this era of economic globalization and regional integration, the unbalanced development of regional economies in China has become the shackle of social-economic harmonious development. For the increasing emergence of internal limitations and deficits in conventional form of governmental governance and the sharp increase of regional public problems, a new form of regional public management needs to be created. This paper points out that in the current condition of narrowing the gap in regional economic development, the government should break Chinese conventional administrative districts and solve the public problems that restrict regional economic integration, and conduct institutional innovation in regional public management through profiting from the overseas experience in regional public management.
