The forms of silence in post-truth era: digital media, pseudonews and fake news

In this article, I deal with the forms of silence such as those formulated by Orlandi (2007) in false news and news that nullify the dialogue in the political debate, which I call "pseudonews". The question of the relativization of the real in the post-truth era is discussed based on the Materialistic Discourse Analysis that shows that the real is a discursive construction that produces the "impression of reality" (ORLANDI, 1996). However, when observing the functioning of the Bolsonarian discourse through pseudo journalism productions, I understand that the production of the effect of reality differs from the political strategy of silencing and annulment of the other, which prevents the political clash in the production of meanings.
