The spiritual crisis is an evident state of the contemporary society. The large diversity of paradigms regarding the concept of the world, existing in social consciousness, coupled with the low level of their inner junction, creates substantial difficulties in human self-realization and causes an acute feeling of dissatisfaction and discomfort. Attempts to form a synthetic view regarding the concept of the world, undertaken by specialists, do not give the expected results. The call to Olympism, which is defined in the Olympic Book as a " philosophy of life, exalting and combining in a balanced ensemble the qualities of body, will and spirit" in this situation, is absolutely justified. Despite the fact that interest for sport is considered as the main bearer of the Olympic idea, today it has a global importance. Olympism involves the synthesis of basic mental models and their harmonization, which is very current, and may pretend for the role of philosophy of life and prospects for contemporary society. Sport is an updated aspiration towards the exterior success (antique item): this is the principle of honest rivalry, defaults in an imperative way and conducted continuously, which ensures the possibility of self-affirmation even in case of external defeats (Christian element); sport represents a situation of harmony between man and the environment, the cult of dynamic states of meditation. Therefore, sport is able to provide to man extensive competence regarding the concept about the world, but it must be pointed that nowadays, in conditions of insufficient study of the problem, it represents only a virtue, but not a possibility of achievement on a large scale.
