摘要
The first part of the publication (see ZKG 03/2006) described the design concept of the low-dust emission chute and demonstrated the beneficial effects on the dust generation obtained with this approach with the aid of simulation calculations using the Discrete Element Method (DEM). This continuation of the article focuses on the implementation of the design concept. A chute of standard design has been modified to implement the low-dust emission chute concept. After modification the new chute has all the features of the low-dust emission chute already described. The extraction transport capacity from the main shaft is always slightly smaller than the overall transport capacity in order to ensure that the main shaft remains full under all operating conditions. The reduction in the dust concentration by the new type of chute is evaluated by comparative measurements of the dust concentration in the air.
