Chiral phase transfer catalysts such as chiral quarternary ammonium salts, chiral crown ethers and their recent advances in the applications in asymmetric catalytic reactions including the alkylation, Michael addition, aldol reaction, Mannich reaction, oxidation and reduction are reviewed in this paper.
