摘要
China's foreign policy in recent years is characterized by a number of distinctive features. First, the preparation for the anniversary and the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the country allowed Beijing to clarify the periodization of the People's Republic of China foreign policy's history and to bring it in line with the general periodization of the history of the state. Secondly, the coinciding forty years of establishing diplomatic relations with the United States and the exacerbation of the so-called Sino-American trade war have predetermined the preservation of Washington's leading position in the circle of Beijing's foreign policy priorities. Third, China's growing interest in deepening and intensifying ties with Russia has given grounds to declare the transition of bilateral Russian-Chinese relations to a new stage. The COVID 19 coronavirus epidemic has had a significant impact on many areas of Chinese society and state life, including foreign policy. However, its important features of recent years, such as the growing confrontation with the United States and the promotion of the concept of "community of the common destiny of mankind", have not changed.
