摘要
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is an important public health problem, generating costs for treatment, hospitalization, and decrease work capacity. Aim: A cohort of patients was followed in a prospective study for a better understanding of the practical difficulties in management of the COPD patients from Iasi County. In order to evaluate these patients, we collected data regarding smoke status, inhalation technique, therapy changes. The periodic medication update, the assessment of the inhalation technique, the developing and increasing access to respiratory rehabilitation centers will work to improve COPD patients' quality of life and to ensure quality of medical services. Results: The distribution of patients on risk classes indicates a higher proportion of these in classes D and B. Of the total patients evaluated 12 (32.4%) have correctly used the inhaler device, while 25 patients (67.6%) made at least one mistake: 15 patients (40.5%) did not forcefully expire before using the device, 6 (16.2%) did not inspire enough, four (12%) had trouble in maintaining apnea. A high proportion of patients were treated with the inhaled corticosteroids + long-acting beta2-agonistis therapy (56.8%), 64.9% of the patients were treated with inhaled corticosteroids. Conclusions: Although there are many interventions recommended in patients with COPD, too few interventions are included in practice for a better disease control.
