摘要
This paper is concerned with a creep study of composite adhesive lap joints produced from a bi-directional woven E-glass fibres and polypropylene composite. Bond preparation conditions were tested and the corresponding static strength was obtained. Creep tests were carried out within the temperature range from 20 to 50degreesC. Results of the deformation and strain rate versus time are presented. Failure time, temperature and stress were correlated using Manson-Haferd parameter. Failure mechanisms were observed by means the scanning microscopy technique.
