SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE INVESTMENT IN SLOVAK COMPANIES

The main aim of this paper is to clarify the existence of socially responsible investment in Slovak and Finnish companies and highlight the importance of these investment actions for the company and its stakeholders. It also focuses on the interpretation of the term socially responsible investment as a part of corporate social responsibility. The paper presents a part of the results of the questionnaire research that has been carried out in almost 450 companies performing their business activities in Slovak republic and Finland. The attention is paid on the perception of the term socially responsible investment and also on the scale of the various types of socially responsible investment that are present in the Slovak and Finnish companies.
