摘要
The goal of the research is to study the array of church music manuscripts at fund 177 of the Institute of Manuscript of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine, as a collection of music historical documents and music sources, and to provide its generalized characteristics. The tasks of the research are the review of all materials of the fond, the selection of church music manuscripts among them, the analysis of their quantitative and qualitative composition, the systematization of their content according to the historical, genre and style principles, as well as accor-ding to its scientific value. Methodology. In the process of researching the materials of the fond, the scientific tools of historical and theoretical musicology and music source studies have been used. The methods of the genre, style and textual analysis, the comparative method, as well as the elements of the statistical method have been applied. Scientific novelty. For the first time, a review of the materials of fond 177 of the Institute of Manuscript of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine has been carried out. The content of church music manuscripts of the fond has been studied in close connection with the evolutionary processes of the development of sacred music art in the lands of Ukraine and Eastern Europe. Conclusions. Church music manuscripts at fond 177 of the Institute of Manuscript of the V. I. Vernadskyi National Library of Ukraine make up the largest part of the music collection of the fond and are of significant cultural, historical and scientific value. They represent different genres and styles of Eastern European sacred music of several centuries. The array of these manuscripts is valuable as part of the source base for studying the sacred music heritage of Ukraine and its choral art. Involvement of the wide range of the manuscripts of the fond in musicological and cultural studies of the national sacred music will contribute to a deeper understanding of its phenomenon.
