Diffusion Monte Carlo study of the equation of state of solid p-H2:: Role of many-body interactions

We present a Diffusion Monte Carlo calculation of the equation of state of solid para-hydrogen in a range of pressures from around 0 up to 0.4GPa. Two interactions among the ones available have been used, namely the Silvera-Goldman and Buck potentials, and results have been compared with experimental data. A preliminary study of the effect of three-body potentials is also included.
