摘要
This documentary research article aims to present the basic elements of Martin Seligman's proposal in his book Authentic Happiness, and his contribution to the field of work and organizational psychology, particularly in relation to well-being, satisfaction, and occupational mental health. The methodology used was documentary analysis. The results show that the concept of happiness is traditionally associated with a pleasant experience; however, true happiness in the world of work is a combination of pleasure, commitment, and meaningful activity. The conclusions evidence that the foundation of happiness at work is a subjective choice that goes beyond the pleasure principle.
