Using SDN Strategies to Improve Resource Management On a NoC

摘要
The dynamic resource allocation has a significant impact on the performance of Network-on-Chip (NoC). In this work, we propose to use Software-Defined Network (SDN) paradigm together with IPNoSys, a non-conventional architecture with a specific execution model. The SDNoC proposed can use SDN to provide flexibility and reliability, with the same performance as others SDNoCs in literature and can be more efficient because of IPNoSys execution model features. The SDNoC use IPNoSys compilers to cluster tasks and the IPNoSys processor element to manage the communication and migrate tasks if necessary.
