The true refractive index correction to the fluorescence intensity in the commercial fluorescence spectrophotometer

摘要
The procedure was proposed to determine the true refractive index correction to the fluorescence intensity while measuring with a commercial fluorescence spectrophotometer. According to this procedure, the instrumental readings taken with common rectangular detecting geometry are to be compared to those obtained from an "ideal spectral instrument". The procedure being applied to the analysis-oriented Hitachi Model F-4010 fluorescence spectrophotometer, the correction factor proved to obey n(2) law within the limits of experimental error.
