摘要
The electromagnetic background emission in the ultra-low (ULF) frequency range (0.1-10 Hz) has been measured in daytime in various districts of Moscow and Moscow Region. The measurements have shown that the amplitude of anthropogenic pulsed noise in the frequency range under examination increases sharply as the frequency decreases. An extremely high electromagnetic-noise level (up to 250 nT at frequencies below 1 Hz and up to 2 nT at 8 Hz) has been detected at the center of Moscow. It is more than 50 times as high as the noise level on the outskirts of the city and two orders of magnitude higher than in the countryside.
