摘要
An effective stress soil model (MIT-S1), which was developed to model the behaviour of both clays and sands, has been used to predict the shear behaviour of a fine-grained calcareous silty mud from an offshore silt off the North West coast of Australia. The input parameters required by the model are first estimated from laboratory tests. The model is then used to predict the behaviour in different types of undrained triaxial and simple shear tests. The results show that the model performs quite well for monotonic tests, but some modifications will be required for predicting cyclic loading behaviour.
