摘要
Displacement of the loosely encapsulated flourescent indicator coumarine 343 (F) from a dicopper(II) cryptate enables the selective flourimetric detection of the HCO3- ion (A) (in water (see scheme, o = Cu2+). The flourophore is quenched when encapsulated, but displays its full emission when released to the solution.
