Capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) in the presence of ethanolamine was used in a micropreparative mode. Sample volumes up to 1 mu L could be loaded onto a 100 mu m diameter capillary without loss in resolution. Coupled to narrow-bore reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography, ethanolamine-CZE allowed the collection of sufficient amounts of pure peptidic material to perform amino acid sequence analysis.
