摘要
Implications: • Climate change will affect the seasonal production of pastures for livestock feed, and adaptation is required. Adaptation will require changes to production systems and new skills in the workforce. • Transdisciplinary research approaches are needed to address the adaptation challenge. These approaches combine farmer knowledge with farm systems and economic analysis to assess the impacts of a changing climate and potential adaptation benefits, and social research to address the nontechnical drivers of change. • Research is required to integrate knowledge from different disciplines. A case study of adaptation research in the Australian dairy industry is used to highlight the transdisciplinary approach. © Cullen, Ayre, Reichelt, Nettle, Hayman, Armstrong, Beilin, Harrison.
