摘要
This letter presents static and dynamic characteristics of a tunable vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL), with an emphasis on parameters of major importance for analog modulation. The study includes the small-signal modulation response (S-21) and the relative intensity noise (RIN) From the measurements, characteristic semiconductor parameters are extracted.
