Study on Strategies for Development of Tourism Talents in Guangdong Province of China

The tourism sector is a labor-intensive industry. It is the talents that determine the success in the cutthroat competition of tourism. Although Guangdong is one of the most important tourism provinces in China, there are still many problems in tourism talents: governments not placing enough attention on cultivating and training, unreasonable structures, imbalanced geographical distribution and gaps between demand and supply. This paper suggests establishing an appropriate mechanism for tourism talent development, improving the quality of tourism talent, making a systematic plan for cultivating talents to push the development of Guangdong tourism talents.
