摘要
This paper examines the CD robustness of several minimum CD variance control algrithms. It presents a general control algorithm for optimization of one or more profiles of paper properties using one or more CD actuator systems. The optimization includes economic goals for operation of the actuators, and can handle both soft and hard constraints. Estimates of the uncertainty in the process model determine the degree of robustness. Experiences and results from a European paper mill are presented.
