摘要
Blood pressure (BP) measurement is an age-old technique for detecting many problems including cardiovascular diseases. Auscultatory and Oscillometric methods are the most common methods. Nowadays, new developments are being made in the field of cuffless BP measuring devices for a much more user-friendly experience. However, these devices come with their shortcomings, as they are not entirely accurate or reliable. Hence, there is a scope of improvement in cuffless BP measurement technology. Different platforms were used to derive papers on all topics, including calibration procedures and simulators which are used to test the devices. This paper discusses the ways to measure blood pressure, advantages, and disadvantages of various techniques as well as ways to improve certain measurement techniques. It also highlights the factors to be considered while re-calibration of the devices as well as the parameters to be considered while using a simulator to test a monitoring device.
