摘要
We present a unified color and contrast content adaptation (UCA) method designed to modify images while preserving observers' preferences for white color and detail level. Our method is based on newly released models of the color matching functions (CMF) and contrast sensitivity function (CSF) incorporating age-dependent components. Using CIE-2006 physiological model in combination with an extension of Barten's CSF model, our technique adjusts the display white point and local contrast to correspond to the viewer's age-related color and contrast response preference. The results of a subjective evaluation show the effectiveness of the method on a large range of image types and confirmed that combining both color and contrast is the preferred approach for content adaptation to viewers' characteristics.
