摘要
Differences in country economic performance call for explanations that land in the so-called Total Factor Productivity (TFP). The quest for a specification led us to inquire if mode of management is an important driving force. That is, we ask if leadership has countrywide consequences. While addressing this issue, practical implications emerge as to the leadership ingredients that are desirable for high economic performance. Our results point out that different leadership styles affect economic performance depending on the growth quantile.
