Specific features of determining the stress-strain state (SSS) parameters in metals tested for plasticity at high temperatures by an upsetting technique using cylindrical specimens are discussed. A method for determination of SSS parameters is proposed that is based on the use of coordinate grids applied to the lateral surface of test specimens.
