摘要
The paper presents the research results concerning the design optimization of squirrel cage three-phase induction motors, used in drum motors, for conveyor systems. The design optimization takes into consideration the obtaining of. high performance characteristics, a high reliability, and low costs - at manufacturer, customer, and power supplier. The stator and rotor lamination sizes are in accordance with the IEC standardization, An original computer program was built. The performance characteristics are displayed as functions of the independent variable "slip", and as functions of the independent variable "output power". A motor prototype was built, and tested. The calculated and experimental comparative results show that the relative errors are less than 3%.
