At present, China's insurance intermediaries have become the main force in the insurance market. The insurance intermediary channels have made outstanding contributions to premium income. The number of insurance intermediaries and the number of intermediaries have shown a trend of rapid increase year by year. At the same time, China's insurance intermediary market has the characteristics of large-scale concurrent agency and personal agency market, small scale of professional intermediary market, and unbalanced internal market structure. In recent years, the rapid development of emerging technologies such as the Internet and big data has brought far-reaching influence to the economy, society and people's lives. The trend of "Internet +" has brought new development opportunities and challenges to all walks of life. Under the background of the Internet, the development of insurance intermediaries faces the following opportunities: First, the development of new business of insurance intermediaries is supported by favorable policies. Second, the platform of the Internet enables insurance intermediaries to better exert their professional advantages and provide insurance services. Third, the Internet trend has reduced the cost of insurance intermediaries and increased market efficiency. However, insurance intermediaries are also facing a crisis of survival in the Internet era.
