摘要
In ancient Western, Aristotle is the represent of traditional virtue ethics and the contemporary revivification of Western ethics of virtue found its resources mainly from Aristotle. Virtue ethics take agent as its center or as its ground and good and happiness of human being as its main concern, and virtue is its centre concenpt. What is human or what human beings should become to, which are the primary task for virtue ethics. The demands for actions come from what is human or human beings should become to. Confucian ethics of virtue studied fully of what kind of person is one moral man (a gentleman), and the way is totally different from Western one. The center of Chinese traditional ethics of virtue is that what human beings should become to and therefore it has rich ideas about virtues. We can find one different resource for our construction of Chinese ethics of virtue and theory of virtue ethics in general...
