摘要
The problem of flooding in poor regions of Bangladesh provides a concrete model for studying the complex relation between environmental risks, poverty and vulnerability. This important work is the first to describe the effectiveness of different means of adaptation to flood risks. It stresses the absence of preparation among the most vulnerable populations.
