Promotion of the Traditional Strategy: Research on the Strategy of Large-Scale Project to Ensure Project Success

The extent of achieving the strategic objectives is the key factor whether it can lead to the success of large-scale projects. For large-scale projects located in an integrated environment, a strategy of self-government should be stressed, instead of following the strategic model copied from the past. After comparing the business strategy, general project strategy and large-scale project strategy, the perspective that large-scale projects are flexible, innovative and systematic is proposed. Finally, this paper presents that only if the five key processes as follows be encircled closely, can we balance the interests of every project team and stakeholders, and achieve the maximization of value creation. That is, to reach a consensus of the project objectives among the project groups, customers and all management levels; to possess competent project manager and project team; to strengthen the construction of the project information system; to establish the mutual trust mechanism among the various participants; to ensure project success by innovation.
