We investigate heat and mass transfer in an unsteady MHD nanofluid boundary layer flow due to a stretching surface. The traditional model which here includes the effects of Brownian motion and thermophoresis is revised, so that the nanofluid particle volume fraction on the boundary is passively rather than actively controlled. In this respect the problem is more realistic. This problem is modeled using systems of nonlinear partial differential equations which have been solved numerically using the spectral relaxation method.
