Exciton-exciton annihilation and fluorescence depolarization in J-aggregates of the dye thiats

摘要
An analysis of the intensity dependent fluorescence kinetics demonstrate that the exciton-exciton annihilation (EEA) process is determined by exciton diffusion in large domains and that the exciton transport is not one dimensional. The intensity dependence of the fluorescence anisotropy decay was assigned to EEA. At 77K the average angle of the exciton transition dipole was found to change less than 25(0) during the exciton migration over a domain containing 6x10(6) monomer units.
