CARE Electronics (=Comprehensive Approach for the Recycling and Eco-efficiency of Electronics) is a strategic initiative to understand the international and national implications of sustainability for the electr(on)ics industry in the future. CARE Electronics is an independent, industrial R&D network with members from large and small companies and research organisations. The objectives of CARE electronics ranging from forecasting products, technologies and societal expectations, identifying strategic issues, providing a platform for dialogue with relevant stakeholders, to, finally, initiating and supporting specific projects for sustainable solutions within the Strategic CARE project (=SCARE). This paper presents the CARE Electronic network and running projects within SCARE (ECOLIFE I&II, grEEEn, ELIMA, TVTarget, MobileRec, Disassembly Factory, ReLCD)
