摘要
An English translation of ALFRED EISENACK's "Die Phosphoritknollen der Bernsteinformation als Uberlieferer tertiaren Planktons" (1938) follows a short review of his important contribution to the study of organic-walled fossil microplankton. In his 1938 work the two widely known genera, Deflandrea and Wetzeliella, and their types, D. phosphoritica and W. articulata, as well as the species, W. clathrata, were first described as new and named.
