Structure and electrochemical properties of layered sodium manganese oxide NaxMnO2

摘要
Layered Na0.808MnO2-delta were prepared by solid state method under oxygen environment. The Rietveld refinement result showed that lattice parameters are a = 2.8653 angstrom, c = 11.0987 angstrom with space group P63/mmc. There were some vacancies in Na site and O site, and the Na vacancy is more easily formed in the Nal(2b) site by first-principles calculation. The electrochemical measurement shows reversible de/intercalation of about 0.4Na ion so as to deliver a discharge capacity of 103 mAhg(-1) in the potential range of 2.0-3.6 V. By comparison of theory and experiment, some Na vacancies is favor to improving the cycle performance of sodium ion battery.
