In order to maintain its position in a highly competitive market, the company must be efficient and effective. It must imperatively control its production tools by having a very efficient management system. Several standards have been developed to guide companies in this regard. In this paper, we will try to examine the most widespread and known management systems in the world, namely the quality management system (QMS), the Environmental Management System (EMS), the Occupational Health and Safety Management system (OHS) and the Energy Management System (EnMS), by reporting the benefits of their implementations, the tools used as well as the key factors of successes and the main obstacles encountered in setting them up.
