Linear codes associated to the ideal of points in P-d and its canonical module

摘要：

A class of error detecting-correcting linear codes arising from the canonical module of a 0-dimensional subscheme in a d-dimensional projective space over a finite field is described. The dimension of the codes is obtained by means of the Hilbert function of the canonical module. It is shown that these codes are the dual of the codes obtained by the evaluation map of homogeneous polynomials on the points of the subscheme. Some examples are included to illustrate the ideas.
