Switchover of Radio and Television Broadcasting into digital technology in Mongolia

ICT sector is one of the most dynamically developing sector in Mongolia. The Government of Mongolia has accepted and adopted the GE06. In 2010, the National Program on "Switchover of radio and television broadcasting Mongolia" was approved. The radio and television broadcasting will be switchover into full digital broadcasting, in 31 July, 2014. This paper explains about GE06, switchover of radio and television broadcasting into digital technology, the comparison of DVB-T and DVB-T2 system. In this paper, we present the practical recommendations and key issues for successful implementation of GE06. This paper explains about the National Program of Mongolia and main directions for switchover of radio and television broadcasting in Mongolia.
