摘要
The work is devoted to the study of the role of small businesses in the sphere of production and consumer services in the economic growth of the country. The research is based on a general scientific methodology, which provides for the application of a systematic approach to solving problems using marketing research tools. Despite the fact that the Russian market of services is considered one of the most promising business areas, there are urgent problems for this market that need to be solved. These include poor quality of services, outdated technologies, and equipment, low staff qualifications, administrative barriers, low wages, unhealthy competition, etc. It is necessary to regard the scientific and practical features of entrepreneurial and marketing activities arising from the features and specifics of the intangible production of small enterprises in the field of production and consumer services. Such features include sensitivity to market conditions changes, expansion of communications, etc. Only 10-15% of middle-class citizens can use high-quality services of small enterprises in the modern Russian market of services. The trend of economic growth may stop, as the services market will face demand constraints soon. Despite the fact that Russia is one of the 30 countries participating in international services trade, where there are no customs duties, Russia's part in global services exports and imports is still small. International trade can largely solve the problem of limiting demand for small business services. It is advisable to export and import services by opening branches of service providers in other countries.
