摘要
The micropaleontological studies in Qeshm and Kish Islands have been carried out on the following formations: Aghajari, Qeshm limestone, and Kish coral limestone. The studied section in Qeshm Island included: Messen and Suza stratigraphic sections in the south of island. Messen section consists of Aghajari and Qeshm limestone formations. Suza section is composed of Qeshm limestone formation. Also, Olympic stratigraphic section in the north of Kish Island was analyzed. This section records a Pliocene-Pleistocene age and consists of Aghajari and coral limestone formations. The foraminifera identified in the aforementioned stratigraphic sections are Ammonia beccarii (linne), Rotalia viennoti Greiget.Vars, Elphidium sp. Linnaeus, Pyrgo sp. Schwager, Quinqueloculina sp. d'Orbigny, Textularia sp. Defrance, Triloculina trigonula Schwager, Spiroloculina sp. (d'Orbigny), Triloculina tricarinata Schwager, Operculina complanata d'Orbigny.
