摘要
Stock Car racing within the United States emerged as a national phenomenon fostered by two main competing organizations, the National Association for Stock Car Automobile Racing (NASCAR) and the Competition Board of the American Automobile Association (AAA). As initial success waned, the stock car format found revitalization where the violence and danger of the sport resonated with growing idealization of the traditional Southern culture.
