摘要
Information Fusion is beginning to receive increased attention not only within the military, but also within the civilian sector. The notion of maintaining constant awareness of one's surroundings is not a new military goal, but to provide this capability through computers has been a long standing and challenging problem. In this paper we will explore various techniques that we believe are necessary to provide situational awareness and how they can be tied together into an overall system architecture. We will also explore various sources of information, their contribution to the problem and how we propose to test and evaluate the proposed architecture.
