The scattering from bodies exhibiting a non-local dielectric response is investigated within the weak scattering limit. A quasihomogeneous approximation is introduced and investigated. A qualitative change in the scattering pattern of scattered radiation is seen to emerge with the onset of a non-local response. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
